So many new ideas...

I'm working on something...

Hmmmmm...what can it be?

Typically, after the Christmas One of a Kind Show, I'm so wiped that I don't even get back into the studio for a month or two.  This time, I am so completely inspired with new work that I can't stay out.  I'm creating 2 custom orders from the show, and this new work is kindof a break from that.  I find the work I do on Illustrator really relaxing, and a great break from peering at tiny things through my optivisor.

I'm at the very beginning of figuring out a new thing....it may happen, or it may not...but it's fun all the same.  I'll post if I ever get it together, but the inspiration came from erin Meharg Harris's bell class on Craftcast.....and it may not even be a bell!  You should always sign up for other types of classes, because you never know when inspiration may hit.  I'm not really a jewelry girl, but the class got me thinking of something that kindof ties together all of the things I love.  More to come...

Don't pay attention to the fuzzy's.  This was just a quick test
to see if the protector would affect the finish, and I didn't wipe off
the cotton from the initial clean solvent.  Um...nevermind....

I also threw another bronze frame in the kiln as a kindof test.  I'm thinking of a vignette line featuring antiqued frames, so I only polished the high spots and left the kiln patina on.  They really remind me of old, musty frames I would find on a long lost masterpiece.  Loving them...

p.s. Although erin's live class is over, you can purchase the full recording.
